At the meeting of the World Plumbing Council in Centurion, South Africa on 22-23 October 2009, members received a progress report from the Executive Board which was elected for the 2008-2011 period at the World Plumbing Conference in Calgary in September 2009.

Presenting the report, WPC Chairman, Robert Burgon commented that “although the WPC is effectively run by a volunteer Executive Board, all of whom have other demands on their time, there has been much good progress in the last year. Awareness raising of the importance of our industry is a key goal and there are good examples of the way in which awareness has been heightened.”

WPC members welcomed the report and agreed that it would be useful to receive further reports six-monthly intervals in future.
