WHO AND WPC KEY ISSUES PAPER |
|
The World Plumbing Council (WPC) and World Health Organisation (WHO) have agreed on the text of a Key Issues paper on “Regulating for Health Aspects of Plumbing”.
The paper was developed following a project in which John McBride, a plumber from Australia, was seconded to work with WHO on behalf of WPC. John’s work aimed to strengthen the message that health is closely associated with good plumbing. The Key Issues paper (which is intended to be the first in a series) emphasises that regulation is an essential element in maintaining the health aspects of plumbing.
It is intended that WPC members and other organisations will use the paper within their own countries to highlight the need for appropriate regulation of the plumbing industry. Download the paper here (PDF)
