We are the 1,600-man local union for plumbers and pipefitters serving the needs of central Ohioans. Our apprenticeship program is a 5-year program. We annually train between 160-200 apprentices and between 350-450 journeymen returning for continuing education to upgrade their skills. If we were in manufacturing, we would have but one product. That product would be skilled labor. Our job at the training school is that of Quality Control and Product Development. We must give the contractors a better product, and our product must improve year after year. |
