The World Plumbing Council offers three scholarship opportunities annually. These are:
The WPC Education and Training Scholarship for applicants from developed countries
The WPC Education and Training Scholarship for applicants from developing or least developed countries
The WPC United Association Instructor Training Program Scholarship for Trainers, Teachers or Instructors from developing or least developed countries
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 22 September 2019 – Applications must be lodged with the secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) by this date.
The Scholarships are available to individuals actively involved in their local plumbing industry, particularly in education and training and are intended to provide the opportunity for an educational exchange between plumbing industry participants from different countries.
The Scholarships provide an opportunity to increase awareness of the contribution that plumbing has made to global health, sustainability and environment and, amenity and provide a platform for networking and relationship building on a global level, assisting to strengthen the inter-connectedness of the global plumbing industry.
Applicants for the Education and Training Scholarships are encouraged to focus on these areas during their scholarship program:
- Identification of emerging vocational training needs and trends
- Plumbing training and education to address environmental and sustainability issues
- The value of water efficiency to the community and the Plumbing Industry
- How does plumbing training or lack of training affect public health in a country or region?
Applicants for the United Association Instructor Training Program Scholarship must currently be a Trainer, Teacher or Instructor (or trainee) of plumbing, fire protection or HVAC from a developing or least developed country who is looking to increase knowledge of training areas and techniques that they have not been exposed to previously. The Instructor Training Program takes place in August each year in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. The applicant must be available to travel to the US specifically in August.

Each of the scholarships provides up to US$10,000 in funding to cover approved expenses for the duration of the program.
