The prizewinners in the international poster competition have been announced.
As part of its plans for World Plumbing Day 2011, the World Plumbing Council (WPC) invited industry representatives to go into their local schools to deliver a Powerpoint presentation to children under the age of 10 on the links between water, health and plumbing. As part of this presentation the children were invited to design a poster for World Plumbing Day. Local prizes were presented for the best posters which were then entered into an international competition with prizes being awarded by the WPC
60 posters were entered from India, USA, Canada, England and Scotland. The initial judging was conducted by WPC Chairman, Robert Burgon, with the final selection being undertaken by a group of 40 individuals who were asked to rank the top posters. The names and locations of the artists were not shown to those being asked to judge the posters.
